Ridge Hospital in Accra has released a statement suspending two of their staff for illegally selling of Personal Protective Equipment ( PPEs) which were supposed to be given to Frontline Health workers.
Snippets of the yet to be released expose’ by Anas and Tiger eye PI shows two staffs of the hospital selling these items.
Mr. Thomas Osei and Mr. Kumodzi were secretly captured selling Face Shields and protective gowns as well as face masks.
According to the statement released by the Hospital, Mr. Thomas Osei is serving a two-week suspension without salary the unauthorized sale of the PPEs.
His counterpart, Mr. Divine Kumordzi will refund all monies realized from the sale of face marks. He will also serve two weeks suspension without salary.
The sanctions per the statement are in accordance to the provisions of the Ghana Health Service Code of Conducts and Disciplinary Procedures.
The Hospital cautioned all staff to desist from such acts and abide by the rules and regulations governing the Hospital.
