Embattled Pastor and founder of the International God’s Way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim, will, today, make an appearance at the Kaneshie Magistrate Court in Accra.
Angel Obinim, as he is affectionately called, has been charged with publication of false news, as well as forgery of a document contrary to Sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
Following his arrest and subsequent prosecution, Obinim spent about three nights in custody however he was granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties, one to be justified but was not able to extricate the bail bond on time and had to remain in cells until Friday, May 22, when he finally walked home.
Bishop Obinim’s woes begun when he picked up a verbal altercation with the firebrand lawmaker, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
In a series of exposé on live TV, Hon. Agyapong exposed many of Obinim’s dubious ways of acquiring wealth which include money laundering and defrauding amongst others.
