According to Hajia, the strict Covid-19 safety protocols in schools coupled with the enclosed environment of the schools provides more protection than home since the protocols are less rigid there.

Speaking on Adom FM on Thursday, she cautioned parents against flocking to schools with reported cases of Covid-19 in the attempt to withdraw their wards from the school.

She continued that, schools remain the best place for the students despite the recorded corona virus cases at some schools and the recent death of Richard Sam, the KNUST SHS student.

“Students are much safer in school than coming out here because they are in a closed environment. Moving children from infected schools to home poses more risk to families, so we are pleading with parents to allow their children stay in school”, she said.
