Bishop Daniel Obinim, Head Pastor of the International God’s Way Church, has been released from police custody finally.
Although Obinim was granted bail by an Accra Magistrate Court, he failed to meet the GHS 100,000 set aside by the court. As he result, he spent about 3 days in police custody.
He was arrested and charged for publication of false information and forgery of documents.
Our team also gathered that Obinim was on admission at the police hospital for treatment while in custody and was discharged on Friday afternoon.
Earlier, we reported that Firebrand Kennedy Agyapong offered to use his house as surety to bail Obinim as the latter failed to secure one for himself.
At this point, it is however unclear how Angel Obinim managed to meet the surety. Was he released on compassionate grounds or the lawmaker, Ken Agyapong, offered his house?
